It all started when the bombs began to fall. They seemed to just spiral from the sky, appearing from no-where. One atomic bomb for each city in England, maybe even the world. The only warning given from the deadly weapons was a high-pitched buzzing, before they hit. That explained the howls of stricken pets, warning of doom, but it only killed people faster, as they ran from their houses. The only people to survive were the lucky. The ones in their cellars, safe underground, or the ones that were far from any city. The terror was unbearable, it squealed in the streets, scratching at doors and breathing death into many bodies. Sometimes it was quick, and sometimes it was slow. What mattered in the end though, was that it was there. Death. In great numbers people died, not just from the actual explosions, but from the houses they hid in, the houses that they ran to for protection. These man-made structures turned against their inhabitants and fell. Fell right down. read more here

A preview of our plot (Taken from our website): As written in the Book of Souls… Long ago there was nothing but a single star in the black void of space. Slowly the star grew old, and its color changed from a bright yellow to an angry red. As all stars do when they grow old, this one exploded. The entire universe shook with the impact of the single star’s explosion while boulders the size of planets flew from the star’s core amongst the gas and flames. For thousands upon thousands of years the flames slowly died out, and the boulders spread to the farthest reaches of space. The force of gravity created many more stars as the largest boulders attracted flames and gas toward them. Many other rocks crashed into larger ones and disintegrated forever more. It was a time of chaos and destruction that should never be forgotten.....Click here to read more!

In the early spring of 1996, a small group of researchers purchased approximately four hundred acres of land in Scotland. They were studying the bonds between horses in the wild, and how herds interacted amongst themselves away from domestication. To begin with, they released only twenty-eight horses into the vast area - later named Riverlea Reserve. They observed the animals from a distance, and soon learned all that they could from the experience. Then the researchers decided to release fifteen domesticated horses in with the herd, to see how the wild animals would treat their tame counterparts. The experiment went well, and four years later, there was approximately eighty horses in the entire reserve.
Having completed all of their research, the humans decided to leave Riverlea Reserve as an eden for horses. They allowed students to travel to the park, and observe the herds from a small observation center. Gradually, more and more horses were released into the Reserve - some were no longer wanted by their owners, some had been abused in the past, and others merely needed rehoming. By 2005, there were approximately two hundred horses running in the Reserve.
Then a wildfire struck the Reserve, caused by lightning setting alight to a tree during a particularly nasty storm. Entire sections of the Reserve went up in flames, and numerous animals were killed. But Mother Nature was merciful, and after several months, the area was beginning to heal itself. However, when it seemed that all was going well, the Riverlea rivers overflowed from an excess of rainfall, and several acres of the Reserve were destroyed by the flood. The survivors of the two disasters grouped together, and by the time 2007 came to a close, three herds had once again formed in the Reserve.
This is where you find us now; in a world of new life and rebirth. The researchers are confident that the Reserve will be back to normal in no time at all. The equines, however, are not quite so sure.
